Editorial Policy

This page explains how IPOwiz collects IPO data, checks it, and fixes errors. It covers GMP, subscription, allotment chances, and related guides.

1. What we publish

IPOwiz shares IPO information to help you research. We do not give buy or sell tips.

  • We focus on facts: IPO dates, price, subscription, allotment chances, and registrar links.
  • If data is unofficial (like GMP), we say so clearly.
  • We write in simple English so anyone can follow the page.
  • We keep opinions separate from exchange or registrar data.

2. Where our data comes from

We use official sources first. Market rumours are never treated as final.

  • SEBI rules for IPO allotment and disclosures.
  • NSE and BSE notices, bidding data, and allotment tools.
  • Company DRHP or RHP for issue size, reservation, and risk factors.
  • Registrar sites (Link Intime, KFin, Bigshare, and others) for allotment status.
  • Grey market sources for GMP only, and always marked unofficial.

3. How we check facts

Before we publish key IPO numbers, we match them with at least one official source.

  • Dates and issue size: RHP or exchange notice.
  • Subscription: exchange bidding data by category.
  • Allotment chances: based on application subscription; Retail, SHNI, and BHNI use lottery when oversubscribed.
  • GMP: checked against our grey market feed and clearly marked as unofficial.
  • Named analysts review the page (see author pages).

4. How we correct mistakes

If a date, figure, or link is wrong, we fix it after we confirm the official source.

  • Serious errors (wrong allotment date, wrong registrar link, wrong subscription) are fixed first.
  • Pages show when data was last updated.
  • Email corrections to admin@ipowiz.in with the IPO name, page link, and official source.
  • For listed IPOs, we do not hide older live snapshots that were correct at the time.

5. Independence

IPOwiz is independent. We do not take paid placement from issuers or brokers unless it is clearly marked as an ad.
